Fingerprint unearthed an immersive science and adventure app for kids age 6-12, Get Rocky. This tilt-and-slide trek follows the intrepid Digger as he glides, spins and battles his way to the center of the Earth to find his son, Rocky, a young mole with a knack for trouble. As the journey heats up, players uncover scientific facts about geology that will rock their world.

Why do we LOVE Fingerprint play?  So far every game we have played from this company has been super fun but also has fantastic educational value.  Earlier this year I had the chance to sit down and chat with Nancy MacIntyre of Fingerprint play and was truly impressed with the companies passion for providing kids and families a safe and fun place to play together.  So often we see rows of family members sitting side by side all immersed in their own gadget.There are tons of apps out there but not very many that encourage family togetherness. Fingerprintplay's game Alphabetini has a super fun (and super safe) multiplayer mode that encourages families to play the game together.

It almost seems incredible but I have heard people say to me "I just don't have time to read". That is the precise reason a person must read! And for those of you who have caught yourself saying that then make your first book one on time management. YES! We do have time to read. When our kids are very little we must read to them. The more we read to them the more they will grow up loving books. Kids love books that they can grab ahold of and turn the pages and look at the silly pictures even before they have a sense that there are words on those pages.
